Many thanks to Lori Anderson of Pretty Things for putting on this fantastic blog hop!
Kathy Lindemer of Bay Moon Designs is my wonderful partner. She sent me a fabulous montage of beads including jasper, hand dyed silk from Marsha Neal Studio, sead beads, crystals, and two wonderful focals - a Vintaj brass disc she stamped & inked and another called an ancient pathways ceramic from Pajego Art House.
Yay, SUCCESS !!! Have you ever felt like kissing your computer!!!! It has only taken me three days to figure out how to get these pictures from Picasa to this blog!!!
I added a few items from my stash ------
And then the creating began ------ Of course, I like SETS!
Then idea number two popped into my head ------ SET #2
Lastly for the moment ------- The beginning of SET #3 -----
I've completed the necklace but am still working on completing the bracelet & a pair of earrings.
However, it didn't stop me from wearing the last piece today at our religious meeting. Not only did we enjoy our event but I got so many complements on the necklace! Thank you Kathy for the fabulous & wonderful variety of beads!
In addition, I still have a small bead soup to work with later & another focal for ????!!!!!! time will tell :)))
Now that this is finished, I'm off to check out other creations!!!! Happy hopping ..........
Thanks again Lori for hosting this exciting world wide blog hop!!!!
Lovely soup, my dear! You're such a talented wire worker. Love the wire-worked focal pieces!
ReplyDeleteKarla the wire work in set #1 is wonderful. The focal that you wrapped fro set #2 is FABULOUS!! I am in awe of your talent. I always think that fringe finishes a piece so necklace #3 is to my taste also. Great job with your soup.
ReplyDeleteHi Karla, I loved all the sets you made and I am very fond of the one you are working on now. Don't try to reach me through the blog that Lori posted. It goes to another Andrea. Oh well. Come visit me at www.heavenlanecreationscom
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a ball, Karla! You got a gorgeous soup and you went all out with some beautiful designs (sure is nice seeing that picture of you!)
ReplyDeleteWow! I love your wirework. Copper is my favorite metal to work with and you did an awesome job with your soup.
ReplyDeleteThey all look great. Especially love that first set with the pathway's focal. Can't wait to see them in person.
ReplyDeleteI too like sets and anyone or all of yours would be welcome in my jewelery box. They are all so well planned and turned out so pretty. The necklace looks gorgeous on you. Great job!
ReplyDeleteHow interesting what you do for living! i also love to experiment in the kitchen. London and Southafrica are some of my favourite parts of the world.

ReplyDeleteYour wire work is fabulous! I was blown away by the clasp of the bracelet in the first set. Then I scrolled down and saw a bunch of those swirls in the necklace. So lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour wire work is amazing. I'm blown away by that wrapped focal. The wire wrapped drop earrings are darling too.

Wow, you sure created a lot of beady wonderfulness! Everything looks great and you still have soup left over!! Very, very nice work.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful pieces all of them. I love the changable earrings and especially the first necklace. I admire your wire work skills! So great.
ReplyDeleteGreat designs. I love your wirework and if I had to choose, I think set number 2 is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely lot of jewellery you made from your bead soup! It's hard creating just one piece, so it's fabulous that you created THREE sets. And such pretty pieces too - I love the colours of the first set. Great job!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, how beautiful - each and every one of them! What an amazing amount of work! Each piece is exquisite but your final necklace really strikes a cord with me! Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteWow. It looks like you put a lot of work into each of those sets. Your wirework is impressive. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteYou really made a lot out of your soup and such beautiful pieces. Each has wirework that I love, but I think that middle one is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteYour wirework and bead work really heighten the appeal of those sets of jewelry! Nice work. That would have been a challenging color palette for me to work with, and you just mixed in the right stuff and made it shine!
ReplyDeleteGreat wirework, lovely pieces! Love that you made sets!
ReplyDeleteJust as I commented to Kathy, wow! I love that you two are partners :) What a great pairing of talent! The soup Kathy sent is similar to yours -- did you two plan that or was it synchronicity? The interchangeable earrings are great-- and you knocked it out of the park with your copper wire work (wire art!) and seed bead necklace -- scrumptious! Love the beads, the gorgeous clasp & links, the colorway. And I love sets too. Carrying on the colorway & earthy sunset colors with the Pajego Art House focal, you created another exquisite copper necklace! Very cool! As is your second set: is that an extender interchangeable necklace too? Love both pieces -- the creamy beads in copper with the leaf clasp is a design I'd wear everywhere & the coordinating earrings, bracelet are lovely! I like how the designs meet each other through wirework or beads or technique. Amazing focal; and your bracelet is charming -- I especially like the touches of discs beads throughout both the necklace and bracelet. And I think my favorite is your work in progress set -- I'm a copper mostly too but there is something just stunning about your green & silver necklace: the lava beads, the cool double strand of gems & art links, the cascading tranquil, harmonious focal, and getting to see you wearing it! Wonderful reveal. Gorgeous jewelry collection. Happy Hopping! ♥ Rita
